1970 Roadrunner - Nov 2013

Rust, Brakes & Suspension

This 1970 Roadrunner has been sitting for a long time waiting to be resurrected. That time has come! Scotlea is doing a partial on this one - fixing all the rust (lots of that), replacing or rebuilding all of the suspension, upgrading the brakes to front discs, smoothing the firewall and painting the engine bay.

Here's how it started - check out the corrugated metal trunk floor!!

We started with engine bay and firewall - strip it down, smooth it up...

Trunk, Passenger quarter panel and wheel well replaced...

Drivers quarter, rocker, and wheel well replaced...

Floors and rear window patched...

Front suspension completely rebuilt - all new bushings, ball joints, etc. Front brakes upgraded to discs...

Sheetmetal is done - and off to the bodyshop for some paint...

Engine bay was painted - that's it for now - then reassembled and back to the owner. He's going to do some work himself and save up for that very expensive B7 Blue paintjob.
