1969 Plymouth Satellite - June 2015

This street racer has a big engine (over 500") but tires that are too small - so we are going to fix that!  This ride is getting a full "back-half" job - which means gutting everything behind the seats and starting from scratch in order to fit huge 32x18.5 tires!!!  We are narrowing the Dana60 rearend, swapping the leaf springs for a triangulated four-link with coil-overs, installing a 6-point roll bar, and all custom sheet metal work.  Then it's getting a wiring update to make everything work perfectly.

Trunk gutted, frame rails removed, rearend narrowed, tires mocked up, new framerails installed...

Rollbar installed, new quarter panels installed, tubs and rear bulkhead installed...

Rear suspension build and coil overs hung.  Rearend is prepped for new gears and paint.

Sheetmetal is complete and fiberglass bumper is hung in place.  Fuel cell, battery box and nitrous bottle are mounted.

Down on the ground and off to the the body shop...

A new dash was designed around a host of custom Speedhut gauges...

Entire car is rewired starting with a Painless Mopar harness, customized to control an MSD 6A, Digital Timing Retard, and Progressive Nitrous controller, as well as Nitrous bottle opener, heater and secondary fuel pump.

Finished.  Sitting with a sinister stance, flat black primer for a "not finished" look.  Interior retains full back seat, 6-point roll bar with removable crossbar.
