1946 Dodge Pickup - March 2016

This 1946 Dodge pickup is a very special project that Scotlea Hot Rods was able to step in and finish for the owner.  It belonged to the owners's son, who was unfortunately killed in action while serving in the 45th Infantry in Afganistan during 2011. It was brought to us painted and sitting on a new Art Morrison chassis - we had to do the rest, including: wiring, plumbing, interior, bedsides, finishing engine install, and numerous small touches here and there.  It's an awesome truck with quite a story to tell.

Here's how it arrived...

Finished up and riding fine!!!  This 1946 Dodge sits on a completely new Art Morrison chassis with Mustang II front end, 4-link rear and AirRide bags (controlled by a panel on the dash).  Wilwood brakes at all four corners make it stop quickly. Under the hood is a Blueprint engines 360 Mopar stroked to 401 CI, fed by an edelbrock carb, backed by a 727 automatic trans, with exhaust blowing through flow master mufflers.  Inside the custom dash panel and gauges give the old steel dash a fresh look, along with a custom red & black bench seat, lokar tall shifter, and roll out windshield for those hot days.
