1969 Charger - General Lee #13

This charger was probably one of the most complete we had found as a donor car.  A numbers matching 383/727 car, with no rust in the trunk (almost unbelievable)!  It had been stored inside a huge barn owned by a former Chrysler dealership employee who bought trade-in cars and kept them.  It was complete, but hadn't run in years, which is fine because a complete rebuild was in order anyway.

First order of business is to strip it down and replace the rusted sheet metal.  The firewall was smoothed of the original AC holes to prep for a Vintage Air system.  Floors, quarter panels, wheel houses and rear valance were all replaced.  Everything was coated in POR-15 (that's why they are black).

Then comes the bodywork and primer...

Then the 1975 Corvette Flame Red paint, decals, and lots of clear....

Front suspension gets a complete rebuild...

Engine is installed - original 383 rebuilt with mild cam, heads reworked, Edelbrock intake, Holley Carb, aluminum radiator w/electric fans, serpentine belt conversion and chrome everywhere...

Trunk was detailed and carpeted...

Interior was done in Saddle tan, with leather seats, custom dash pad and upper door panels, padded roll bar, and new gauges in the dash.  Era-correct CB was installed - and it works!

Engine bay all finished - can't get enough engine pics can you?

Finally the exterior.  General Lee items include the correct tear-drop antenna and exact replica front push bar. All the trim was polished, the vector wheels were powder coated and polished, new bumpers, etc.
